Pinkfresh Studio | August Card Release | Christmas card pockets

Hey everyone and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio August 2023 Card Release Blog Hop!! You should have arrived from the wonderful & incredibly talented Karin Hรถgger. And in case you got lost and want to start at the beginning, you can hop over to the Pinkfresh Studio blog.

It might feel strange to see Christmas products and projects popping up already but you all know that Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye ๐Ÿ˜‰ Although when I made my projects for this blog hop, it was currently rainy, dark and grey outside and the temperatures were more like late autumn than summer, so it wasn’t that difficult to get into the Christmas spirit, haha ๐Ÿ˜„

And the gorgeous products in this new release made it even easier! They are (of course) perfect for creating Holiday cards but can also be used for memory keeping. I decided to mix those two for today’s inspiration and create some Christmas card pockets that can be used to tuck in a family photo or gift card:

Card Pocket Fronts:

On the front of the left card I used the Swirl Background stencil* (I believe it’s from last year but I LOVE it!) with some Pinkfresh Studio inks and some Moonstone Glimmer Paste. On top I added the Fa La La La hot foil and some Winter Berries. The Winter Berries product suite includes a stamp set, coordinating dies, a hot foil plate and layering stencils. I didn’t have the hot foil plate though, so I created a similar look with some gold heat embossing.

For the right card pocket I used another oldie but goodie, the Diagonal Stitched Plaid coverplate die on some white cardstock. I topped it with a “Merry Christmas” banner from the Basic Banners: Christmas stamp set (that coordinates with the Basic Banners die) and again some Winter Berries.

Card Pocket Inserts:

Inside the swirly candy cane pocket I put a card I die cut from some white woodgrain cardstock using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die. I also used another of the Basic Banners from the Christmas stamp set.

In the other card pocket I tucked a family photo from Christmas 2020 that I framed with the second largest die from the Stitched Scallop Square Die set.

Card Pocket Backsides:

On the backside of the swirly pocket I used the new Stitched Christmas Star Coverplate die on some white cardstock and once again a sentiment banner. The supercute car with the Christmas tree on the roof is from the new Festive Tickets stamp set. There’s also a coordinating die and layering stencils available.

For the other card pocket I hot foiled the new Sparkle & Shine plate on some vellum (and it looks stunning!!), topped it with another sentiment banner, some Winter Berries and scattered a few Glacier Jewel Drops around.

I love how these two card pockets turned out and how easy it is to mix and match the products from the new release with each other and with Christmas products from the past years!
