Pinkfresh Studio | Scrapbooking Layouts | Black & White with Pops of Color
Today I am up on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with two more layouts that I made with the Simple & Sweet collection* – it may be the last really summery ones since, by the time I will be back in Germany, autumn will be knocking on the door and all the cute fall-themed products with the beautiful muted colors will be arriving on my doorstep.

Black & White with a pop of color
For both of my layouts I used the black and white backside of the Lemon Lush paper because I wanted the other colors to really pop off the page. Especially on my first layout I wanted the gorgeous, vibrant Pinkfresh Studio watercolors to be the center of attention. I used them to “back” the flowers that I had cut out with my Silhouette Portrait (I used the cutfile #274524 from the Silhouette store).
This is a really easy and fast way not only to incorporate water colors into your scrapbooking, but also to quickly back a cutfile. Because backing it with patterned paper can be a bit tedious (depending on the cutfile). Here I used Bubble Gum and Sunshine behind the two flowers because I thought that they would complement my photo really well. 
Embellishing
I kept the embellishing light since, as I said, I wanted the focus to be on the flowers and my photo. For the title I used a mix of the white, black and mint mini puffy alphabet stickers from Simple & Sweet, sprinkled some enamel dots around the page and also used some of the chipboard stickers and golden puffy accent stickers to add more details.
I’m quite happy with how this page turned out, especially since I’m not really a watercolor pro or expert, but I just wanted to use them because they are so bright and vibrant and just perfect for a summer photo! 🙂
