I created three different cards with the beautiful new Summer Flowers stamp set but I’m only able to show you one for today – the other two will be up on the Tonic Studios blog soon 😉

If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know that florals are my absolute favorite element in any kind of project – layouts, cards, mini albums… So it’s no surprise that the new floral stamp sets by Tonic are right up my alley!

For this card I kept it quite simple. I started by stamping the floral border with embossing ink twice in the center of my card, leaving a little bit of space between them. I then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder and colored in the flowers with some Aqua Flow pens.

For the sentiment strip I cut down a strip of white cardstock and colored it with the Pink Lady alcohol marker from the Rosy Pinks set. Alcohol markers are perfect for when you don’t have a certain color of cardstock!

Then I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto the colored cardstock strip and adhered it with 3D foam pads to the center of the card.

Finally, I used the same alcohol marker as for the sentiment strip, scribbled it onto a piece of plastic and watered it down. I then picked up the color with a small paint brush and splattered it onto my card.
