Maggie Holmes | Fussy Cutting Layout | It’s all in the Details

Hey there! 🙂 I am very excited to share my first Maggie Holmes design team project with you today! As soon as I unpacked the gorgeous Willow Lane collection* and had a look through all the papers, I knew I wanted to fussy cut the butterflies from the Flutter paper – even though I am not a very big fan of fussy cutting. I mean, I always love the look of it, I just usually don’t like to do it 😉 But these were pretty easy to cut out, so it didn’t take too long.

As you can see, I didn’t use the yellow butterflies because I wanted to keep my colour scheme to just the blue, lilac and turquoise green (which picked up the colours of the frames in my photo perfectly). And of course I had to mix in gold because.. well, gold, haha. I think it’s like a neutral that you can add to any kind of project, and besides, the Willow Lane collection has so many stunning gold elements!

I hope you like this layout and maybe give fussy cutting a try, too! I really love how it turned out and for me it was definitely worth it! Especially since I have a lot of the butterflies from just that one paper left, which I can now use on other projects. So the Flutter paper also gives you a lot of bang for your bucks 😉
